We always retrospect on the fact that who is an artist and how does one become an artist, but leave the thought process limited to the question itself. It so came to being that this very topic was discussed in such enthusiasm in todays session.
Split into groups, fortunately our topic of discussion was who exactly is an artist. I always believed that anyone who could express his/her views in any form could be called as an artist. As artists we had to put ourselves in a neutral position and think with a non- biased view, which personally for me was really hard. still, keeping this in mind, the discussion continued and we stubbled upon many factors that determine who exactly is an artist, those points being subjective aesthetic view, perspective, thought process, ideation etc. I had this notion that i knew a lot about art and anything related to it, but talking to so many people about it made me realize that there is so much more to art than there is, maybe thats what is the beauty of being an artist, to see beyond ones imagination. As a group we came to a collective conclusion that EVERYBODY IS AN ARTIST, BUT ONE HAS TO CHOOSE TO BE AN ARTIST TO BE GIVEN THE TITLE OF AN ARTIST.
Towards the end of the day, all group presented their discussions and we debated a lot on these topics and finally concluded with 3 definite statements :
